Obituary:


Raymond Joseph “Ray” Gochal, son of the late Joseph and Rose (Biczo) Gochal, was born on January 19, 1948 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, and departed this life along with his mother, Rose, on Sunday, July 1, 2012 near Cabool, Missouri in Texas County, following an automobile accident.  He was 64 years, 5 months and 12 days of age.

Ray grew up in New Jersey and attended the Lincoln Technical Institute in Newark, New Jersey for four years.  He moved with his parents to Missouri in 1993 to be near his sister and family. 

In his younger years, Ray enjoyed collecting, restoring and building old cars with his father.  He also liked to watch wrestling on television. 

Ray was a loving, devoted, and kindhearted person.  He enjoyed being around others and visiting with his friends. 

He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mtn. Grove and enjoyed attending services.  He was very devoted to his church and church family.

He was preceded in death by his father: Joseph Gochal on July 25, 2002.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law: Lorraine and Stephen Kusior of Mtn. Grove; three nieces: Rosalie Gasperson, Joy Beeler and Elaine Kusior; a great-nephew: Bryce Beeler; and other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.
