Alan Lee Barnhart

August 6, 1962 — August 12, 2018

Alan Lee Barnhart, of Springfield Missouri, was born on August 6th, 1962, in Butler, Missouri. He departed from this world on August 12th, 2018, in Skyline, Missouri.

Alan was an avid Kansas City Chiefs’ fan and enjoyed spending the falls watching and talking football with his Dad, Barney. Alan also enjoyed spending his time watching Nascar, bowling, hunting, fishing, and had recently become very interested in motorcycles. He was very close to his parents, Barney and Beverly, not just as their child, but as a best friend.

Alan was a loving and generous individual who will be missed dearly by his family and close friends.

Alan was preceded in death by his sister, Heather Marie Barnhart; his maternal grandparents, James and Marie Humphrey, and his paternal grandmother Marie Barnhart.

Alan is survived by one daughter, Heather-Marie Barnhart (named for her aunt) and granddaughters, Alayna and Karrington of Leavenworth, Kansas; his parents, Alvin Lee “Barney” and Beverly Ann Barnhart of Skyline, Missouri; one sister, Jerri Barnhart of Ava, Missouri; uncle, Jerry Humphrey of El Dorado, Missouri; aunt & uncle, Vivian and Mike Hacker of Lathrop, Missouri; great-uncle & great-aunt, Dale & Edith Lemons of Springfield, Missouri; nieces, Kelsi Mecke and husband, Thomas, of Nixa, Missouri, Shanda Engelhardt and husband, Zohn, of West Plains, Missouri, and Makayla Chamberlain, of Grandview, Missouri; one nephew, John Connor Schmoll of Harrisonville, Missouri, 2 great-nieces, 2 great-nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Alan was a man who struggled with many hardships in his life. But he was also a man who left this world knowing there is a living God and a Savior, Jesus Christ. If he was here today he would want you all to know that no matter how much you struggle, God loves you and wants to share with you His Grace and Mercies.
