John D. Parsons

John Dewey Parsons, son of the late Dewey and Esta (Dobbs) Parsons, was born June 29, 1943, in Texas County, Missouri, and departed this life January 28, 2018, in Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was 74 years, 6 months, and 30 days of age.

John grew up in Texas County. He served in the United States Army. Later in life he worked in residential and commercial concrete construction. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Parsons and Shirley Tool and three brothers, Don Parsons, Charles Parsons Sr., and Tommy Parsons.

John is survived by two sons, Jon Parsons and Jeff Parsons, one daughter, Susan Parsons, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one sister, Mary Bennett, and a host of other relatives and friends who will greatly miss him.
