Juanita Sinning

Wilma Juanita Sinning, daughter of the late John and Thula (Ethridge) Bradshaw, was born May 10, 1929, in Macomb, Missouri, and departed this life December 25, 2017, at Country Living Assisted Living in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 88 years, 7 months, and 15 days of age.

Juanita grew up and attended country schools in the Macomb and Norwood areas. She graduated from Norwood High School in 1948. She was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Sinning on April 16, 1949, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Four sons were born to this union: Lonnie, Danny, Gary, and Jeff. They made their home in several locations in the Whetstone Community near Mountain Grove and the older boys attended Mountain Grove School. In 1963, they moved the family to a farm on C Highway near Norwood, where their youngest son, Jeff, was born in 1967.

To keep busy after retirement, she also worked for a few years at Wal-Mart. Juanita enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, and baking. Her grandchildren absolutely loved her homemade cinnamon rolls. She and Bob also enjoyed watching their grandchildren play sports. She was very family oriented, and she especially enjoyed when all of her family was together for holidays.

Juanita was saved and baptized on May 8, 1948. She was a member of Norwood Assembly of God Church and attended services as long as her health permitted. She served as a Sunday School teacher, and was also the Christmas program director for many years.

She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and neighbor. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Besides her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Sinning, one son, Lonnie Sinning, six brothers, Don Bradshaw, Lester Bradshaw, Eugene Bradshaw, Lee Bradshaw, John Henry Bradshaw, and Luther Bradshaw, and one sister, Edith Sinning.
