Leonard Lee Crewse of Brentwood, Tennessee, age 84, passed away peacefully after a long illness on September 4, 2018. Leonard was born on a small farm near Mountain Grove, Missouri, on August 14, 1934. He graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1952 and married his high school sweetheart, Marietha Worsham, on Christmas day in 1954. He later graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1956. After graduating from college, he joined the U.S. Army as an Officer and he was later promoted to the rank of Captain.

In 1959, he joined the accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand in St. Louis, Missouri, as a Certified Public Accountant. In 1966, he left his position as an Audit Manager to become the Controller of Cupples Products, a global leader in the international building façade industry. In 1979, he was promoted to the position of Vice President and Corporate Controller for the parent company, H.H. Robertson, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1992, after over twenty-five years of service with the company, Leonard retired from what was then called Robertson-Ceco. He continued working in the field of finance for a few more years until he officially retired in 1998.

Leonard was a devout Christian. While he was able, he willingly served in positions of leadership in the Baptist churches that he attended. He also served as a Trustee in the early formative years of the Missouri Baptist College in St. Louis.

He was always very devoted to his family and, upon retiring, he and his wife moved to Brentwood, Tennessee, to be near their children and grandchildren. He continued providing love and support to them throughout his years of retirement.

He was predeceased by his father, Eldridge Crewse, and his mother, Alma Faye Crewse, two brothers, Doyle Gene Crewse of Boise, Idaho, and Farris Crawford of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and his brother-in-law, Clifford Pope of Mountain Grove, Missouri.

He is survived by his precious wife of 63 years, Marietha, his daughter, Cheryl Crewse Stocco (Jerome) of Brentwood, Tennessee, his son, Leonard Lee Crewse, Jr. (Silva) of Smyrna, Tennessee, and his son, Samuel Eldridge Crewse (Jane Allison) of Brentwood, Tennessee.
