Yvonne Daphine Hicks

Yvonne Daphine Hicks, daughter of the late Raymond and Phyllis (Kinchloe) Dobbins, was born February 27, 1949 in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and departed this life January 17, 2018 in Springfield, Missouri. She was 68 years, 10 months, and 21 days of age.

Yvonne grew up and attended school in Mountain Grove. She was united in marriage to Dale Hicks on April 6, 1968. Four children were born to this union.

Yvonne was a loving mother who enjoyed raising her family. She loved being with family and friends. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren. She was a kind hearted soul who had many friends and never met a stranger. Yvonne also enjoyed collecting antiques, going to yard sales, and fishing. She was a great cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family.

Besides her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by two half-sisters.

Survivors include her loving husband of almost 50 years, Dale Hicks of the home, two sons, Terry Ray Hicks and Donna Shelton of Mountain Grove and Timmy Lee Hicks and wife, Alicia, of Mountain Grove, two daughters, Annette Dalene Sterner and husband, Robert, of Cabool, Missouri and Angela Daphine Hicks and husband, Randy, of Mountain Grove, twenty-one grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, three half-brothers, Junior Dobbins, Anthony Dobbins, and Eric Wheeler, two half-sisters, Jan Dobbins and Jodi Woodland, and many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
