'Amie' A. Brown

November 30, 1940 — August 11, 2008

Armenia “Amie” Brown, daughter of the late Aniceto and Fidela (Rios) Flores, was born on November 30, 1940 in Kingsville, Texas and passed away on August 11, 2008 in the Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri, following a short illness. She was 67 years, 8 months, and 10 days of age.
Amie grew up and attended school in Kingsville, Texas. She was united in marriage to Floyd Brown II in Kingsville on August 20, 1957. Six children were born to this union. They made their home in Missouri all their lives and raised their children in the Mtn. Grove area.
She was employed by the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove where she truly enjoyed her job as an Assistant Kitchen Supervisor. She was known as a very dependable, hard working and strong willed person who had great faith.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She truly cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. She liked visiting with her many friends and reading in her spare time.
Amie attended the Almost Home Church in Mtn. Grove.
She is survived by: William Floyd Brown II of their home; three sons: William Floyd Brown III of Los Angeles, California, Thomas Brown and his wife, Julie, of Mtn. Grove, and Jesse Brown of New York, New York; three daughters: Irene Foster of Arnold, Missouri, Laura Sherrell and her husband, Duane, and Sara Taylor and her husband, Joseph, all of Mtn. Grove; two brothers: Ernesto Flores and Ramon Flores, both of Kingsville, Texas; eleven grandchildren: Amy Goldsmith, Jasmine Willis, Angela Foster, Josh Foster, Tommy Brown, Jessica Brown, Aleesia Brown, Sky Crawford, Tomi Crawford, Keylena Crawford, and Jett Crawford; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, church family, co-workers and friends who will sadly miss her.


Funeral Services:
Friday, August 15, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
Visitation:
Thursday, August 14, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the funeral home.

Lone Star Cemetery
