Annie Sue Sloan

Annie Sue Sloan, daughter of the late Orville and Norma (Hathcock) Evans, was born April 18, 1948, in Gainesville, Missouri, and departed this life February 1, 2018, in her home in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 69 years, 9 months, and 14 days of age.

Annie grew up in the Tecumseh area. She married Mac Sloan on March 23, 1968. Two sons were born to this union.

Annie enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved taking care of her family and spending time with them. She greatly enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports.

Annie loved to go to the races with her husband. She always wanted to become a stock car driver. She also enjoyed attending Bluegrass festivals and concerts with her grandchildren and siblings. When she was at the beach, she liked to search for beautiful and interesting shells in the sand. Annie never met a stranger. It made her happy to be helping others. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Besides her parents, Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Mac Sloan, on September 29, 1999, one son, Scotty Sloan, two brothers, Donnie Evans and Dave Evans, and by one sister, Fern Robertson.

She is survived by one son, Robert Sloan (Pamela) of Mountain Grove, Missouri, four brothers, Bob Evans (Wanda) of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Jim Evans (Regina) of Ava, Missouri, Junior Evans of Tecumseh, Missouri, and Larry Evans (Rhonda) of Mountain Home, Arkansas, one sister, Linda (Junior) McCrea of Houston, Missouri, six grandchildren, Megan Friend (Skyler), MacKenzie Sloan, Scotty Sloan, Shayleigh Sloan, Garrek Sloan, and Dalton Sloan, six great-grandchildren, Hayden Friend, Emmitt Friend, Journey Friend, Kristina Sloan, Athena Sloan, and Dalton Sloan Jr., and many other relatives and friends.
