Arcile Tester

Arcile Tester, daughter of the late Jack and Ethel (Coffman) Owens, was born July 1, 1920 in Atchison County near Tarkio, Missouri and passed away on April 18, 2008 the Primrose Place in Springfield, Missouri following a long illness at 87 years of age.
Arcile was saved and baptized at an early age. She married Bill Tester on March 2, 1956. They made their home in Norwood, Missouri where they raised their two children, Jack and Kay. Together, they owned and operated a service station and Testers Freeze for twenty years, making many wonderful friends. She also worked as a beautician for a short time. After retirement, Arcile greatly enjoyed going to their winter home in Texas where they also made many dear friends.
Besides her parents and her husband, Arcile was preceded in death by her sister, Dorcas Marah.
She is survived by one son: Jack Tester and his wife, Janet, of Battlefield, Missouri; one daughter: Kay Cole and her husband, Joe, of Norwood, Missouri; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
Funeral services for Arcile Tester were held Monday, April 21, 10:00 AM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel with Rev. Ronald Turner officiating. Charlie Schudy and Donna Friend sang “Go Rest High On That Mountain.” Pallbearers were Eddie McIntosh, Glen Bradshaw, Ted Bradshaw, Jerald Hilt, Mike Shores and Ronnie Shores. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.

Monday, April 21, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
Visitation:
Sunday, April 20, 2008 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM in the Chapel.
