Audry Fletcher

August 4, 1918 — April 16, 2019

Audry Fletcher, daughter of the late Fred Martin and Mary Jane (Hurt) Justice, was born August 4, 1918, in Chanute, Kansas, and departed this life, surrounded by family, on April 16, 2019, in Springdale Arkansas. She was 100 years, 8 months, and 12 days of age.

Audry was married to the late Rev. Ocra Fletcher. Two children were born to this union, Darrell and Sandy. Audry spent most of her adult life in Mountain Grove. She worked for the Brown Shoe Company for over thirty years. She was also a pastor’s wife, serving alongside her husband in several area churches. She and her family were long time members of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church. In later years, she enjoyed helping out others with doctor’s appointments or visits. Family was very important to Audry. She loved all her children and grandchildren dearly. It was often debated who was her favorite. Family get-togethers and reunions were among her favorite things to do.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ocra, two brothers, Willard and Wilbur “Bud” Justice, one sister, Cleo Chandler Morton, her daughter-in-law, Donna Fletcher, two great-grandsons, Chad Goodman and Brett Crewse, and one grandson-in-law, Jamie Black.

Audry is survived by one son, Darrell Lee Fletcher of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, one daughter, Sandy Ward and her husband, Jim, of Ozark, Missouri, four granddaughters, Vicky Goodman and her husband, David, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Robbin Gorman of Rogers, Arkansas, Terri Crewse and her husband, Len, of St. Peter’s, Missouri, and Leslie Black of Ozark, Missouri, great-grandchildren, Emily, Bryce, Whitney, and Trent Crewse, Amy Sasser, Jacob Gorman, Sara Pifer, Morgan and Justin Black, great-great-grandchildren, Lillian and Elijah Sasser, and Krew Pifer, one sister-in-law, Joan Fletcher of Billings, Missouri, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will miss her greatly.
