Barbara (Shope) Morris

July 10, 1947 — April 11, 2022

Barbara E. (Shope) Morris, daughter of Lindon Parker Eckhardt and Lula Belle Woods Eckhardt, was born July 10, 1947, in West Palm Beach, Florida, and departed this life on April 11, 2022, at Glenwood Health Care in Seymour, Missouri at the age of 74 years, 9 months, and 1 day.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Kathy.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Kenneth; stepson, Alan Morris and wife, Jennifer, of Mansfield, Missouri; 3 step granddaughters, Kailey Fuemmeler and husband, Austin of Jefferson City, Missouri, Lexie Morris and Quincee Morris of Mansfield, Missouri; several cousins in Tampa, Florida.

She was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida and moved to West Plains, Missouri, where she was an office manager at a veterinary clinic for 29 years where she retired.

She met William Kenneth Morris in 2006, she couldn’t resist him and fell in love. They were married in August 2007, at Cedar Gap Baptist Church.

Barbara had made a profession of faith in Christ several years ago and was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church.

In her spare time, she loved riding horses and trail rides all over the country. She went on a 100-mile trail ride several years ago.

Barbara was a loving wife who battled Alzheimer’s the last 4 years. We are comforted knowing she is in a better place with her Savior and her struggles are over.
