Ben Tennes

Benjamin Albert Tennes, son of the late Louis Albert and Georgiana (Spencer) Tennes, was born on May 15, 1943 in Penrose, Arkansas, and departed this life on February 17, 2016 at Cox Medical Center South at 72 years of age.
Ben was raised in Penrose, Arkansas. He married Wanda Hitchcock on May 15, 1964 in White Hall, Arkansas.
Ben spent most of his working years as a supervisor in production. He was always a very dedicated employee in each job he worked.
In his spare time, Ben enjoyed reading, especially books on history and wars. He also enjoyed watching the history and sports channels on television. He loved his blood hounds, spending time outside, and gardening.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of their home, Wanda; one sister: Julia Pyburn of Lake City, Arkansas; one extended brother: Preston Earl Heddin of Monroe, Arkansas; five extended sisters: Sidney Weaver of Searcy Arkansas, Beck Kyle of McCrory, Arkansas, Kathy Davis of the state of Illinois, Sherry Miller of Indiana, and Sereta Shadrick of Searcy, Arkansas; one uncle: Buck Spencer and his family of the state of Arkansas, several nieces and nephews and a host of other friends and neighbors who will miss him dearly.
