Benjamin M. Reeves

Benjamin Marvin Reeves, son of the late Ervie and Juanita (Green) Reeves, was born on January 12, 1943 in Denver, Colorado, and departed this life suddenly on August 4, 2008 on his property in Douglas County, Missouri. He was 67 years, 6 months, and 23 days of age.
Ben grew up and attended school in Eads, Colorado. He entered the military in 1961, serving his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Navy and later the United States Army and was honorably discharged on November 27, 1973.
He was united in marriage to Anna Lou Woodard on January 26, 1963 in Hanford, California. Two children were born to this union. Following his discharge from the Navy, Ben worked as a diesel mechanic for many years. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and playing pool at the senior center. He was known as the official coffee maker at the center. He enjoyed visiting with his many friends throughout the community and he always had a kind word or a smile for those around him.
He attended the Union Grove (Caudle) Church near Norwood, Missouri.
He is survived by one son: James Reeves and his wife, Vivian, of Armona, California; one daughter: Karen Tungett of Armona, California; two sisters: Velma Buxton and Irene Reeves; six grandchildren: Kristy, Brandon, Brent, Kayla, Kimberly and Jonathon; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Wednesday, August 13th at 2:00 PM in the Mtn. Grove Senior Center (Dora White Bldg.)
Burial:
At a later date in Grangeville, California.
