Bennie Ray Fullington

Bennie Ray Fullington, son of the late Howard and Martha (Carder) Fullington, was born September 15, 1927, in Rayborn, Missouri, and passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Colonial Springs Health Care Center in Buffalo, Missouri. He was 92 years, 7 months, and 29 days of age.

Benny grew up in the Rayborn area. He married Jessie “Marie” Fullington on May 11, 1955. On son, Howard “Howie”, was born to this union. Marie passed away November 3, 2012.

Bennie worked at Raymond Barnes sawmill and was City Marshall of Mountain Grove for several years. He also worked and retired from Brown Shoe Company.

Bennie enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, listening to Gospel music, and playing Bingo. He also loved going to garage sales. He spent the last several years of his life in nursing homes where he made many good memories and many wonderful friends.

Besides his parents and his wife, Bennie was preceded in death by his son, Howie Fullington, and four brothers, Burnice, Darrell, Earl, and Jerry Dean.

He is survived by two grandsons, Devin and Benjamin Fullington, a daughter-in-law, Betty Fullington, a good friend that he thought of as a daughter who helped care for him for several years, Linda Kelley, and other relatives and friends.
