Betty Lou Davidson

June 29, 1932 — October 10, 2020

Betty Lou Davidson, daughter of the late John and Thula (Ethridge) Bradshaw was born June 29, 1932 in Norwood, Missouri, and departed this life on October 10, 2020, at Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 88 years, 3 months and 11 days of age.

Betty grew up and attended a country school in Norwood, Missouri. She met the love of her life, Lester Eugene Davidson, and they were married June 16, 1948. Three children were born to this union; Judy Kay, Ronald “Pete” Eugene and Brenda Jo. Betty and Lester made their home in Mountain Grove and all three children attended and graduated from the Mountain Grove High School.

Betty worked at Brown Shoe Factory for many years until her health required her to retire. Betty loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially during the holidays. She loved plants and flowers and could always bring a sick plant back to health. As long as she was able to get around, she enjoyed looking for different houseplants to fuss over.

Betty was saved and baptized at an early age and attended and was a member of Glendale Free Will Baptist Church until her health no longer permitted. She so enjoyed all the gospel singings and could listen to Lester sing for hours.

She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great- grandmother, sister, friend and neighbor. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Eugene Davidson, one grandson, Patrick Eugene Wesselmann, six brothers, John Henry Bradshaw, Don Bradshaw, Lester Bradshaw, Eugene Bradshaw, Lee Bradshaw and Luther Bradshaw, and three sisters, Juanita Sinning, Mary Francis Bradshaw, and Edith Sinning.
