Betty R. Zieber

February 5, 1942 — March 25, 2011

Betty Rose Zieber, daughter of the late J.C. and Dorothy (Underwood) Coble, was born on February 5, 1942 in Porterville, California, and departed this life on March 25, 2011 in the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri. She was 69 years, 1 month, and 20 days of age.
Betty grew up in the Tulsa, Oklahoma, area and attended Charles Page High School. She married Ray Zieber on May 7, 1960 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Two children were born to this union.
Betty enjoyed children and loved to help her daughter-in-law in her daycare. She was affectionately known by the children as “Grandma Betty”. In her spare time, she enjoyed working all kinds of puzzles, watching Jeopardy, and playing Yatzee. She also greatly enjoyed time spent visiting with family, neighbors, and friends. She was a self- proclaimed “Porch Sitter”, enjoying quiet time on the front porch with a cup of coffee, watching people pass by.
Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by one brother: J.C. Coble, Jr., and by one sister: Wyvonne Cox.
She is survived by her husband, Ray; her son: David Zieber and his wife, Teresa, of Mountain Grove, her daughter: Tracy Zieber and her fiancé, Glen Minks, of Springfield, Illinois; one granddaughter: Missy Crites and her husband, D.J., of Mountain Grove; five brothers: Chuck Coble and his wife, Patty, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Sam Coble and his wife, Patti, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Paul Coble and Allen Coble and his wife, Anne, all of Wagoner, Oklahoma, and Jake Coble and his wife, Sandy, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; five sisters: Jeannie Mize and Carol Cox, both of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Dottie Matthews of Hectorville, Oklahoma, Sharon Basham and her husband, Mike, of Phelan, California, and Ruby Cunningham and her husband, Mike, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
