Bob Clark

May 1, 1955 — March 30, 2019

On Saturday, March 30, 2018, Harold Robert Clark, Jr. passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 63. Bob, “The Pieman”, as many knew him, was born May 1, 1955 in Bakersfield, California to Harold and Patsy (Teel) Clark. In his younger days Bob fell in love with and excelled at martial arts, and was a car guy through and through. He loved going fast whether on solid ground or on the water. He was an entrepreneur who enjoyed cooking but had a real passion for creating his own recipes and baking anything. It was his pies though, that awarded him with the recognized nickname of “The Pieman.”

He married Freda in 1983 and became a father to her 5 children. He went on to have 2 more of his own with Freda and started sharing his passions with the family. They lived it up on their family trips to Bass Lake where they enjoyed boating and skiing, and they cherish their training time in Bob’s karate school where he shared his talents with his kids as well as many others. Bob always worked hard and said it was so he could leave “the kids” his fortune. Little did they know the fortune he would leave them was the memories, the lessons, the experiences, and the drive to succeed, which is worth so much more to them than any amount of money he could have acquired. So, he fulfilled his dream, “Thanks for the fortune, Dad!”

Bob was preceded in death by his mother Patsy, his father Harold, and his Sensei Will Thomas. He is survived by his brothers Terry, Steve and Danny Clark, sisters Patti Steele and Shannon Stacy, his ex-wife Freda Clark, his children Eddie Howell, Angie Howell, Keith Howell, Tammy Laughton, Jon Howell, Tim Clark and Mendy McLaughlin, 28 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
