Bobby 'Bob' Eugene Stidham Sr.

Bobby “Bob” Eugene Stidham, Sr., son of the late Vee Bass and Bernice Stidham, was born on September 8, 1942 in East Prairie, Missouri and departed this life on January 22, 2011 at his residence in Norwood, Missouri, following a short illness. He was 68 years, 4 months and 14 days of age.


Bob grew up and attended school in southern California. He was united in marriage to Sherry Brock on March 11, 1969 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home and raised five children in the Norwood, Missouri area.


Bob was a Journeyman and a member of the Local #978 in Springfield, Missouri. He was employed doing concrete work and he also worked in a steel mill and milking cows.


He was a caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and visiting with his many friends. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father: Gale Smithson.


He is survived by his loving wife: Sherry Stidham of their home; four sons: Richard Brock and Nicholas Stidham, both of Springfield, Missouri, Bobby Stidham Jr. and his wife, Tammy, of Norwood, Missouri, and James Daniel and his wife, Nicole, of Clever, Missouri; one daughter: Susan Stidham of Bull Head City, Arizona; one brother: Curtis Smithson of New Orleans, Louisiana; two sisters: Florence Catone and her husband, Jerry, of Mohave Valley, Arizona, and Lola Parten and her husband, Jackie, of Veneta, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren: Christopher Rivera, Johnathan Rivera, Richard Brock, Jr., Dustin Brock, Cheyenne Brock, Mikelah Underwood, Austin Stidham, Tyler Stidham, Trevar Stidham, Chloe Stidham and Cole Stidham; two great-grandchildren: Eric and Adam Rivera.
