Bradley “Brad” Warren Strube, son of Jeffrey Strube and Taunya (Snyder) Strube, was born on January 28, 1989 in Springfield, Missouri and departed this life on Sunday, February 10, 2013, from injuries sustained in a garage fire at his residence north of Mtn. Grove, Missouri. He was 24 years and 13 days of age.
Brad grew up and attended school in Manes and Mtn. Grove and graduated from Mtn. Grove High School in 2007.
He enjoyed being outdoors, especially when hunting and fishing. He loved spoiling his dog “Brandy,” who passed away with her beloved Brad.
He was a great storyteller. His stories were like his Grandpa Bob’s: long, involved, and funny, and he accompanied them with actions. His family felt that if he had his hands tied behind his back, he would not be able to talk.
Brad was a friendly person who was good-hearted and always ready to help those around him. He had a photographic memory for movie lines and music, and could entertain for hours.
His family rarely called him Brad. Instead he was called “Hammer,” “Hambone,” “Bones,” “Braddle,” “Skedaddle,” and “Battery.” Several other terms of endearment, won’t be mentioned.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Jack and Lela Strube; and by his great-grandmother: Myrtle "Granny" Lathrom.
He is survived by his father: Jeffrey Strube of Mtn. Grove; his mother: Taunya Cooley of Mtn. Grove; five brothers: Robert “Robby” Strube, of Norwood, Missouri, Cody Strube of Cabool, Missouri, Shyler Strube of Farmington, Missouri, Jordan Liska and Ryan Liska, both of Mtn. Grove; his grandparents: Robert and Norma Snyder; an uncle: Jason Snyder and his wife, Lindsi, and their daughter, Emma; his life-long best friend: Jessica Berhorst; numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and relatives.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him and his memory will be treasured for a lifetime.
