C. Sue Beavers

Carolyn “Sue” Beavers, daughter of Rod and Ruth (Bennett) Raney, was born on October 24, 1959 in Springfield, Missouri, and departed this life on March 1, 2007 at her residence in Macomb, Missouri, following an extended illness. She was 47 years, 4 months, and 5 days of age.
Sue grew up in Wright County and graduated from Mansfield High School in 1977. She was united in marriage to Clyde Beavers in October of 1988. They made their home in the Macomb area for many years. She was employed as a secretary for several years and worked for Melton Trucking Company in Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
Sue loved taking care of her horses and horseback riding. She also enjoyed shopping, collecting candles, flower arranging and taking care of her home. She was a loving daughter, wife, sister, aunt and friend. She loved visiting with her family and friends and will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Sue was preceded in death by her father: Rod Raney on February 15, 2007; and by one sister: Connie Raney.
She is survived by her loving husband of eighteen years: Clyde Beavers of their home; her mother: Ruth Raney of Mansfield, Missouri; two sisters: Helen Murray and her husband, Charles of Mansfield, Missouri and Betty Hodge and her husband, Eddie of the State of South Carolina; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives, neighbors and friends.
Funeral services for Carolyn Sue Beavers were held Tuesday, March 6, 10:00 AM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel with Rev. Danny Douglas officiating. Song selections were “Amazing Grace,” and “I’ll Fly Away.” Pallbearers were Larry Bennett, Wayne Raney, Steve Bennett, Philip Bennett, Joe Bennett, Randy Bennett, Ronnie Bennett, and Roy Eugene Bennett. Burial was in the Thomas cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, MO.
