Calvin Rex Coble

Calvin Rex Coble, son of the late Harold and Cora (Wallace) Coble, was born on May 25, 1944 in Vanzant, Missouri, and passed away at his residence south of Mtn. Grove, Missouri in Douglas County, on Monday, August 12, 2013. He was 69 years of age.
Calvin grew up in the Vanzant area. He served his country in the United States Army from November 29, 1966 to November 27, 1968, and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant.
Following his discharge, he worked on grain elevators in Kansas and Colorado. He later worked for DFA in Cabool, Missouri for a few years and ran a dairy farm in Douglas County for many years.
At the time of his passing, Calvin was employed as a farm manager by M&B Cattle Company, where he took care of the crops and hay since 1977. Calvin enjoyed tending to his duties and he especially enjoyed operating the John Deere equipment.
Calvin was a loyal and dependable brother, uncle, friend, neighbor and employee. He had a great sense of humor and will be truly missed by those who knew him.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister: Corrine Coones.
He is survived by one brother: Joe Coble and his wife, Patti, of Mtn. Grove; two sisters: Ilene Woods and her husband, Norris, of Vanzant, Missouri, and Brenda Stillwell and her husband, Jerry, of Mtn. Grove; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives, friends, and neighbors.

14th from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.



Graveside Service: Thursday,
August 15, 2013 at 10:00 AM
in the Clifty Hall Cemetery.
