Carolyn Elaine Hannemann was born Feb 4, 1949 in Finschaffen, Papua New Guinea, the daughter of a Lutheran missionary, Herbert R. Hannemann, and his wife Olinda Martin. Carolyn pursued a career in hospital pharmacy at Ravenswood Hospital in Chicago and Northern Illinois Medical Center in Woodstock, IL. Carolyn and Bob started their family in 1982 when their first child Bradley Thomas Randall was born, followed by daughter Kathleen Rose Randall in 1983.
In 1986, the Randall family moved to Lake Zurich, IL where they lived for the next 12 years. When Bob retired in 1998, the family moved to Mountain Grove, MO.
Carolyn continued her career as a pharmacist at Wal-mart in Mountain Grove. MO and subsequently Ava Drug in Ava, MO. During this time in Missouri, Carolyn became an accomplished quilter with the Calico Cabin Sew-ciety in West Plains, MO. She donated hundreds of her quilts to charitable organizations including Afghans for Angels and the Wright County Children's Home.
