Cecil R. Dunlap

Cecil Ray Dunlap, son of the late Clarence and Rosy (Roadlander) Dunlap, was born on August 10, 1936 in Wright County, Missouri and departed this life on April 17, 2010 at his residence in Norwood, Missouri after a long illness. He was 73 years, 8 months, and 7 days of age.


Cecil grew up in the Norwood area and attended the Walker School. When he was younger, Cecil delivered the early Sunday Newspaper and helped his father read water meters.


Cecil loved hunting, fishing, and woodworking and was a big supporter of the NRA, St. Jude, and the VFW. He was also an avid sports fan, especially the St. Louis Cardinals.


Besides his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by three brothers: Henry, Bud, and Ralph Dunlap.
He is survived by one brother: J.R. Dunlap; one sister: Mary Woods and her husband, Frank, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; and by several nieces and nephews.
