Cecile Wallin

November 18, 1951 — May 10, 2023

Cecile Mae Gaddis-Wallin, daughter of the late Amos Bolin and Anna Holloway, was born November 18, 1951, in Thayer, Missouri, and departed this life May 10, 2023, in her home at Macomb, Missouri, at the age of 71 years, 5 months, and 22 days. Her mother and father died when she was young and in 1963, she was adopted by Dr. Floyd and Ruby Greenwood who lovingly raised her as if she was their own.

On July 9, 1971, she married the love of her life, Wallace K. Gaddis, and to this union two children, Malcolm Avery Gaddis and Elizabeth Anne Gaddis-Bagnall were born.

She was preceded in death by her biological parents, adopted parents, husband, Wallace on January 28, 1981, three brothers, Teddy Greenwood, Glen Holloway, and Harold Holloway, five sisters, Alyne Morshel, Maye Henry, Faye Calhoun, Catherine Mae Alexander, and an infant sister, Katherine Holloway, nieces, Deana Sprague, Alice Wallace, and Ellen Ball, nephews, Franklin Cremer and Randy Henry, brothers-in-law, Dean Calhoun, David Todd, Lloyd Wallin, and Roger Gaddis, and sister-in-law, Edna Mae Moore

Cecile is survived by her children, Malcolm Avery Gaddis and wife, Jeanine, of Mansfield, Missouri, daughter, Elizabeth Anne Bagnall and husband, Brannon McGee, of Macomb, Missouri, sister, five grandchildren, Keith Bagnall, Desire Auger, Kayla Willis, Chayton Bagnall, and Dakota Willis, great-granddaughter, Kairie May, sisters, Joyce Todd, Gloria Holloway Sibert and Rosemary Wallin, brothers, Russell Greenwood and Robert Greenwood, brothers-in-law, Burton Alexander and Robert Neil Gaddis, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends whom she loved dearly.

At a young age, Cecile, walked to church in Thayer, where she was saved, and was currently attending Mansfield First Baptist Church.

Cecile was born in Thayer, raised at Macomb, and was a graduate of Mansfield High School in the Class of 1970. She grew up on the Greenwood farm in Macomb, Missouri, and learned to work hard in the dairy barn and in the hay fields. Her dad taught her so much about animals by just following him around the farm every day.

In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, making homemade quilts for her family, and going to yard sales. Teaching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild how to cook, sew, bait a hook, take a fish off the hook, and going to their activities made her proud. She loved spending time with her family and dedicated her life to being both a mother and father and raising her children in a Christian home. We have many memories that we will always cherish and she will be deeply missed.
