Charles Thomas Westfall

Charles “Charlie” Thomas Westfall, son of the late Isaac Wesley and Alma Agnes (Stilley) Westfall, was born on September 5, 1943 in Upton, Missouri, and departed this life suddenly on August 28, 2012 at his residence in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, at 68 years of age.

Charles grew up and attended school in Texas County, Missouri, and graduated from Houston High School in 1961. He was united in marriage to Edith Freeman on February 25, 1967 in Mtn. Grove. This union was blessed by one son, Greg.
Shortly after their marriage, they moved to the Mtn. Grove Community where they made their home and raised their son.
Charles worked in government surplus, truck parts, and metal recycling. Following his retirement, he and Edith enjoyed raising and selling pedigree dogs.
He was a longtime member of the Church of the Nazarene in Mtn. Grove. He enjoyed attending services and visiting with his many friends.
Charles enjoyed spending time with his son. They liked to go on fishing trips, hunting, camping, and going to auctions. He was truly a good father to him, and they made special memories together over the years. He was also a “great” grandpa to his four special granddaughters. He loved spending time with them. He and Edith also enjoyed attending their sporting events.
Charles was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and neighbor. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife: Edith Westfall of their home; his son and daughter-in-law: Greg and Nico Westfall of Ozark, Missouri; four granddaughters: Hanna, Abby, Cecilia, and Maggie; one brother: Amos Westfall and his wife, Verneal, of Houston, Missouri; one sister: Carrie Pierce and her husband, Billy, of Cabool, Missouri; and a host of other relatives, friends, and neighbors.
