Charles Wesley Mcintyre

Charles Charlie Westley McIntyre, III, son of the late Charles Westley McIntyre, II, and Betty Ilene (Soteros) McIntyre, was born on February 28, 1948 in Muscatine, Iowa, and departed this life on Sunday, June 15, 2014 in the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri, at 66 years of age.
Charlie grew up in Muscatine, Iowa and graduated from Wilton High School. He was united in marriage to Christina LaJean Webb on December 15, 1984 in Republic, Missouri.
Charlie was employed in a wide range of professions throughout his life. He was a police officer, professional truck driver, owned a lawn service called Grandpas Lawn Care, and also owned and operated Sambos Restaurant in Muscatine.
He had lived in Mtn. Grove, Missouri for several years and was a member of the Southside Baptist Church. He enjoyed attending as long as his health permitted.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Christina McIntyre in 2012; and by one brother: Clifford Chapman.
He is survived by two sons: Charles Westley McIntyre, IV, of OFallon, Missouri, and Christopher Dale McIntyre of Atchison, Kansas; one daughter: Shawn Lynn McIntyre of Carlinville, Illinois; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother: Michael D. McIntyre of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; one sister: Cheryl L. McIntyre of West Des Moines, Iowa; and other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.


Memorial Service: Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Southside Baptist Church, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.

Burial: Hillcrest Cemetery
