Clyda Mae Lawler

August 19, 1916 — April 25, 2009

Clyda Mae Lawler, daughter of the late Walter John and Mae (Bohannon) Harlamert, was born on August 19, 1916 in Lebanon, Missouri and departed this life on April 25, 2009 in the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove, Missouri. She was 92 years, 8 months and 6 days of age.
Clyda grew up and attended school in Wright County, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Lester Lawler on December 20, 1933. This union was blessed with four sons and three daughters. They raised their family in various locations throughout Wright County.
Clyda committed her life to Christ at thirteen years of age and lived in a consistent Godly manner.
She was a very nurturing wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. She centered her life around her children and husband, Lester, as he pastored many area churches for over thirty-years. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She liked to shop and share purchased items with family members. She also enjoyed collecting dolls, making quilts and sock monkeys for her children and grandchildren. She was very persevering and never lost hope. She never complained during her long and painful journey through the final years of her life.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Lawler on October 1, 1975; a son: James Lawler; two daughters-in-law; two sons-in-law; one great-grandson; and five brothers.
She is survived by three sons: Kenneth Lawler of Mtn. Grove, Lavon Lawler and his wife, Joanne, of Kansas City, Kansas, and Ray Lawler and his wife, Mary, of Hartville, Missouri; three daughters: Yvonne Wiggins of Dillon, Montana, Deloris Spencer of Hartville, Missouri; and Sandra Mack and her husband, Michael, of Bluffton, South Carolina; one sister: Patty Cravens of Lebanon, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
