Clyde Arnold Rust

Clyde Arnold Rust, Sr., son of the late Smiley I. and Alma (Klawitter) Rust, was born on July 21, 1923 in Nelson, Nebraska and departed this life on March 22, 2013 at his residence in Mountain Grove, Missouri at 89 years of age.
Clyde graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1941. He married Marian Marie Chaney on February 18, 1944 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Five children were born to this union.
Clyde served his country in the Army Air Corp in World War II from 1941 – 1944. During his service time he earned six Bronze Stars for Meritorious Service, Distinguished Unit Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Lapel Button, American Defense Service Ribbon, European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre Campaign Ribbon, and three Overseas Bars.
Clyde loved horseback riding and trail rides. He also enjoyed jig dancing, watching Wheel of Fortune, and volunteering at the Mountain Grove Senior Center.
Clyde enjoyed attending church at the Greenwood Church of the Brethren. He also greatly loved spending time with his family and friends.
