Clyde Harold Anderson

March 5, 1922 — October 6, 2013

Clyde grew up and attended school in the Pea Ridge and Mammoth Springs, Arkansas areas. Following high school, he served his country in the United States Navy as a Boatswain’s Mate. After his discharge, Clyde attended John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
He moved to California where he worked as a machinist and also for North American Aviation. He later moved back to Missouri, to make his home in the Noel, Missouri area where he taught school. Following his work there, he moved to Mtn. Grove where he taught school for twenty-five years and started the Special Education Program for the Mtn. Grove School District. Clyde earned his Master’s Degree from Drury University.
He was united in marriage to Norma Maxine Chasteen in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas in the mid 1970’s.
Following his retirement, Clyde and Maxine enjoyed spending winters in Texas and summers in Noel, Missouri. They later moved to Willow Springs, Missouri where they made their home.
Clyde was an ordained licensed minister for the Assemblies of God. He was a member of the Westside Family Life Center in Willow Springs and enjoyed being a part of the church until his health started failing.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Ken Anderson; a daughter: Sharon Reeves; two brothers: Bill Anderson and Marion Anderson; and by three sisters: Joyce Floyd, Ruth Henry, and Winnie Ellis.
He is survived by his loving wife, Norma Maxine Anderson of their home; a step-son: Randy Lovan and his wife, Tana, of Springfield, Missouri; one granddaughter: Hollee Laslie of Lawrenceville, Illinois; a great-granddaughter: Callee; one brother: David Anderson of Costa Rica; one sister: Mary Tripp of Del Rio, Texas; and other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Graveside Service:
Friday, October 11, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Hillcrest Cemetery, Mountain Grove.

Visitation:
Friday, October 11, 2013 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home.

Westside Family Life Center in c/o the funeral home.
