Dallas Dale Morse

March 1, 1928 — March 15, 2007

Dallas Dale Morse, son of the late John and Letha (Reid) Morse, was born on March 1, 1928 in Durant, Oklahoma, and departed this life on March 15, 2007 in the Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri, following a long illness, at 79 years of age.
Dallas grew up and attended school in Durant. He was employed as an electrician for a few years and later worked for Southern Pacific Railroad as an engineer for over thirty years.
He was married to Gladys Freeman on July 30, 1971 in Fowler, California. They made their home in the Mtn. Grove, Missouri area for the past few years.
Dallas enjoyed being outdoors, especially when fishing.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers.
He is survived by his wife: Gladys Morse of their home; two sons: Larry Morse of Sacramento, California, and Tim Morse of Clovis, California; one daughter: Linda Smith of Clovis, California; two step-sons: James Larry Hale and Lymon Terry Hale, both of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; one step-daughter: Deborah Webb of Republic, Missouri; two sisters: Juanita Hart of Fort Worth, Texas and Betty Harris of Denver, Colorado; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.
Funeral services for Dallas Morse were held Monday, March 19, 2:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel with Rev. Ronald Turner officiating. Song selections were “Life’s Railway To Heaven,” “Shall We Gather At The River,” and “I Love To Tell The Story.” Pallbearers were Aaron Paccassi and James Larry Hale. Burial was in the Brushy Knob Cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, MO.
