David Leon Littrell

October 21, 1952 — August 20, 2011

David Leon Littrell, son of the late Joba and Esther (Powell) Littrell, was born on October 21, 1952 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri and departed this life, at age 58, on August 20, 2011 in Ozark County, Missouri, following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. David grew up and attended school in California, Nebraska and Missouri. He graduated from Norwood High School in Norwood, Missouri in 1971.
David was united in marriage to Nancy Scroggins on June 18, 1972 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri. Four children were born to this union: Becky, Brent, Jennifer, and Jerico. He worked as a Christian Literature Evangelist for many years, taking his family to various communities around the country. In 1983 they settled in the Norwood area. Fromm that time, David owned and operated Vintage Vending, a full line snack and beverage company. He truly enjoyed his job and meeting different people throughout the area.
David always made time to be outdoors riding his dirt bike, camping, hiking, taking trips to the lake and waterskiing, most all enjoying it with his family and friends.
David and Nancy enjoyed traveling and going on cruises.
He was a longtime member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Mtn. Grove. He continually shared his faith in the gospel and his excitement, as well as the anticipation of The Second Coming. David was very dedicated and he loved the Lord.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons: Brent Littrell and Jerico Littrell; and by a brother: Louis Littrell.
David is survived by his loving wife: Nancy Littrell of their home in Norwood, Missouri;
two daughters: Becky Saylor and her husband, Darin, of Houston, Missouri, and Jennifer Davis and her husband, Michael, of Columbia, Missouri; a daughter-in-law: Dana Littrell, of Linden, Iowa; two sisters: Jeanie Maddox and her husband, Bill, of Drury, Missouri, and Vera Hart and her husband, Harold, of Boynton Beach, Florida; a sister-in-law: Sherry Littrell, of Gentry, Arkansas; five grandchildren: Rachel and Jacob Saylor, Case and Conner Davis and Kaelyn Littrell; and other relatives, friends, church family, and business acquaintances who will miss him very much.
