Debra Kay Mathews

Debra Kay Mathews, daughter of Deletha Jean (Parker) Mason and the late Harold Thomas Casey, was born on September 20, 1959 in Springfield, Ohio and departed this life on December 22, 2014 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri. She was 55 years, 3 months, and 2 days of age.

Debra was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio. She graduated from South High School. She worked a few years at a recreational center for children and then worked at Arley Pillow Factory and Fordick until they closed. Debra later became a homemaker. She enjoyed dice, card games, arts, crafts, and painting. She loved going to the river, fishing, and bird watching. She especially enjoyed her dogs.

Debra was the loving mother of two children: Christopher Lee and Kelly Marie.

She was united in marriage to Charles A. Mathews on August 2, 1985 in Greenup County, Kentucky.

Besides her father, Debra was preceded in death by one grandchild.

Debra is survived by her husband: Charles A. Mathews; her mother: Deletha Jean (Parker) Mason; and step-father: Gene Mason; her son: Christopher Lee Casey of Foley, Alabama; her daughter: Kelly Marie Tinsley and her husband, Stephen, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; her sister: Lisa Bruce and husband, Mark, of Springfield, Ohio; two grandchildren: Alex Casey and Wesley Casey; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other friends and family that love her very much.
