Dolly May Jarrett

April 7, 1933 — June 15, 2009

Dolly May Jarrett, daughter of the late Albert James and Grace Florence (Gadbury) Hanks, was born on April 7, 1933 in Ida Grove, Iowa and passed away on June 15, 2009 at her residence in Norwood, Missouri following a long illness. She was 76 years, 2 months and 8 days of age.
At the age of five, Dolly moved with her family to Missouri and lived on a farm south of Norwood. She was united in marriage to John Eual Bolt in 1948. Three children were born to this union. Mr. Bolt passed away in August of 1951. She later married Homer Gene Jarrett on December 5, 1952 in Mtn. Home, Arkansas. Four children were born to this union. They made their home on Eagle St. in Norwood for over twenty-five years. Gene passed away on December 12, 2002.
Dolly was employed by Toblin-Hamilton Shoe Factory in Mansfield, Missouri for forty years.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and tending to her flower gardens. She especially loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Besides her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Ezra, Lester, Franklin, and Billy; and by four sisters: Helen, Florence, Boots and Opal.
She is survived by four sons and spouses: Billy and Norma Jarrett of Mtn. Grove, Aaron and Robyn Jarrett of Norwood, Danny Bolt of Des Moines, Iowa, and Jackie Bolt of Bogalusa, Louisiana; three daughters: Euala and Joe Cooley of Bowlegs, Oklahoma, Karen and Boyd Hall of Ava, Missouri, and Sheila and Doyle Blackburn of Lebanon, Missouri; thirty-three grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; one brother: Richard Hanks of Lebo, Kansas; one sister: Maxine Hendrickson of Council Bluffs, Iowa; nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
