Donald Eugene 'Duck' Mcintosh

Donald Eugene McIntosh, son of the late Jesse and Audrey (Roadlander) McIntosh, was born on May 17, 1954 in Norwood, Missouri, and departed this life on March 20, 2014 in the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, following a long illness. He was 59 years of age. Duck grew up in the Norwood area and graduated from Norwood High School in 1973. He was united in marriage to Linda Perry on August 3, 1973. Three children were born to this union. He was employed by his father-in-law, Jim Shirley, as a logger. This is when he lost his two fingers. He was later employed by Don Kelly Contractors for twenty years as a lineman. At the time of his passing, he was a co-owner of Gray-Mc Contractors since 1994 with his family, Kevin Gray, David Gray, and his two brothers: Eddie McIntosh and Paul McIntosh. He was married to Colleen Keeling on May 10, 1996. They made their home on Spence School Road north of Norwood, where he had spent his entire life. Duck enjoyed being outdoors, squirrel hunting and hunting in general. He especially enjoyed going on elk hunting trips to Colorado with his family and friends. He also loved to farm and to take care of his cattle. Duck was a caring person who enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids, family and friends. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents: Hase and Della McIntosh; a niece: Tina McIntosh; a nephew: Bryan Kennedy; and by a brother-in-law: Danny Coday. He is survived by his wife: Colleen McIntosh; his son: Donnie McIntosh ; his two daughters: Shanna Wilson and her husband, Michael and Cheri Michelle Newark and her husband, Andrew, all of Norwood, Missouri; two step-sons: Alan Keeling and his wife, Jessica, of Norwood, Missouri and Tim Keeling and his wife, Kim, of Bland, Missouri; two brothers: Eddie McIntosh and Paul McIntosh and his wife, Sherry, all of Norwood, Missouri; four sisters: Wilma Lancaster and her husband, Ron, Norma Coday and David Tripp, all of Mansfield, Missouri, Teresa Kennedy and her husband, Jimmy, of California, Missouri, and Vickie Collins of Mansfield, Missouri; eleven grandchildren: Justin Coy, Courtney, Augusta, Andi, Hase, Paige, Grayci, Gatlin, Cody, Katelyn, and Lacie; and other relatives and friends.


Visitation: Sunday, March 23, 2013 from 4:00 6:00 PM. Funeral Service: Monday, March 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Ashley Cowboy Church, Macomb, Missouri. Burial: McIntosh Cemetery Memorial Contributions: McIntosh Cemetery c/o the funeral home.
