Donald Ray Stovall

July 11, 1938 — January 8, 2018

Donald Ray Stovall, son of the late Emmett and Gladys (Stroder) Stovall, was born July 11, 1938, in White Water, Missouri, and departed this life January 8, 2018, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri. He was 79 years, 5 months, and 29 days of age.

Donald graduated from Iberia High School in Iberia, Missouri. In 1974, he married Eulah Woods. And moved to Mountain Grove. Donald was a long time employee at Fort Leonard Wood and then worked at Mountain Grove Walmart until he retired.

Donald was saved and baptized as a child and attended Brays Christian Church. Don loved the Lord, his family, and church family. He was a long time member of Calvary Temple Church in Mountain Grove where he drove the church van weekly for many years. He and Eulah also hosted a weekly Bible Study/Prayer meeting in their home for several years.

Don enjoyed many activities including rabbit and squirrel hunting, fishing, morel hunting, and gardening. He and Eulah also enjoyed traveling and camping every summer as long as their health allowed.

He endured many physical challenges in the last years of his life. His love for his wife, family, and God were always his motivation to keep going.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eulah, on October 12, 2017, and two brothers, David and Wayne.

He is survived by two daughters, Kim Dexter and her husband, Danny, of West Plains, Missouri, and Deborah Owen and her husband, Sigel, of Marshfield, Missouri, one step-son, Danny Woods and his wife, May Anne, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, four grandchildren, Alyssa Collins and her husband, CJ, Alyson Dexter and her fiancé, Josh, Caleb and Laura Owen, two brothers, Mike Stovall and his wife, Jeannie, of Springfield, Missouri, and Terry Stovall and his wife, Nancy, of Eldon, Missouri, three sisters, Norma Wall of Stoutland, Missouri, Joyce Noyes of Desoto, Missouri, and Melba Stovall of Springfield, Missouri, many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
