Eddie 'Kenneth' Northcutt

May 4, 1929 — July 19, 2014

Eddie Kenneth Northcutt, son of the late Jack and Anna (Wilsher) Northcutt, was born on May 4, 1929 in Harlingen, Texas and departed this life on July 19, 2014 at the age of 85 years, 2 months, and 15 days.

Ken lived with his family on a farm about eight miles from Mountain Grove. He was self-employed and hauled milk cans to Kraft. Ken married Burnice Pauline Wren on November 10, 1951 in Salem, Arkansas. They built their home at Huggins, Missouri, and Ken was employed as a Field Representative for Sanitary Milk Producers.

Ken enlisted in the United States Navy on January 23, 1951, and served during the Korean War. He saw duty aboard the Destroyer U.S.S. D.J. Buckley DDR 808. He served in France, Belgium, and Spain. During his service, Ken earned the following medals: National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Navy Occupation Service Medal. He was honorably discharged November 17, 1954.

He later worked in drywall construction in Kansas City and Columbia. Then, coming back home, he gave 26 years of service to Mid-America Dairymen, Inc., retiring in June of 1991.

On November 10, 2001, on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, to the delight of their family and friends who were gathered at the Fairview Church, Ken and Pauline celebrated 50 years of their life together.

Ken was a devoted and loving husband. He gave his life to the Lord and was baptized on October 18, 1998 by Rev. Junior Hutsell.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister: Pat Medlock.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 62 years: Pauline Northcutt; three brothers: Warren Green and his wife, Ylene, of Kansas City, Missouri, John Green and his wife, Betty, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Lyle Green and his wife, Carol, of Mountain Grove; three sisters: Louise Knox of Houston, Texas, June Barnes of Mountain Grove, and Wanda Harris and her husband, Kenneth, of Houston, Texas; and other relatives and friends.


Visitation: Monday, July 21, 2014 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Fairview Pentecostal Holiness Church located northeast of Mtn. Grove at 6584 Hwy M, Cabool, MO.

Burial: Bado Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions: Fairview Pentecostal Holiness Church Building Fund in c/o the funeral home.
