Florence Fay Johnston

Florence Fay Johnston, daughter of the late Plaz and Mamie Mae (Hall) Coffman, was born on April 5, 1942 in Wright County, Missouri and departed this life on October 7, 2009 at her daughter’s residence in Fulton, Missouri at 67 years of age.
Florence grew up and attended school in Wright County. At the age of eighteen she moved to Iowa and later moved back to Missouri, north of Mtn. Grove in the Manes Community to a farm twenty years ago.
She enjoyed being outdoors, especially when tending to her vegetable and flower gardens and taking care of her farm animals.
Florence was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, companion and friend. She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons: Raymond and Jimmie; two brothers: Howard Coffman and Troy Coffman; one sister: Deloris Carter; one grandson: Andy Lee Johnston; and by two nephews: Junior Coffman and John Boy Sindt.
She is survived by four sons: Terry Delp and his wife, Francis, of Seymour, Missouri, Tim Delp and his wife, Holly, of Davenport, Iowa, Randy Johnston and his wife, Debbie, of Springfield, Missouri, and Michael Johnston and his companion, Christy, of Moline, Illinois; three daughters: Cheryl Jepsen and her husband, Dave, of Bettendorf, Iowa, Sheila Stowe and her husband, Mark, of Fulton, Missouri, and Cindy Thobe and her husband, Rich, of Davenport, Iowa; two brothers: Carl Coffman of Wapello, Iowa and Ronnie Coffman of Moravia, Iowa; four sisters: Wilma Hicks of Mtn. Grove, Missouri, Maxine Thornburg of Afton, Tennessee, Reatta Sindt of Centerville, Iowa, and Linda Sindt of Montpelier, Iowa; nineteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her companion of twenty years: Richard Harper; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives, neighbors and friends.
