Frances May Smith, daughter of the late Joseph and Alma (Young) Koch, was born April 24,1922, in Billings, Montana, and passed away October 8, 2022, in Hurricane, Utah. She was 100 years, 5 months, and 15 days of age.

Frances grew up in Montana and California. She was united in marriage to Bryce Smith on August 14, 1948, in Reno, Nevada. After they raised their family in northern California, they moved to Ava, Missouri, and later moved to Norwood, Missouri. After Bryce passed, Frances moved to Mountain Grove, where she remained until she could no longer care for herself. She then moved to Hurricane, Utah, to be near her son, Dana. Frances enjoyed being outdoors working in her flower gardens. She also enjoyed sewing and working on various sewing projects.

Besides her parents and husband, Frances was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis and James Smith, and two sisters, Marian (Koch) Blair and Rosemary (Koch) Tritthart.

Frances is survived by one son, Dana Smith and wife, Sally, of Hurricane, Utah, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
