Goldie Rosanne (Friend) Hicks

Goldie Rosanne Hicks, daughter of the late Homer and Helen Friend, was born on April 19, 1930 in Springfield, Missouri, and passed away on June 25, 2013 at her home in Hartville, Missouri, following a long illness. She was 83 years, 2 months, and 6 days of age.
Goldie was united in marriage to Walter Liles in 1949. Nine children were born to this union. Mr. Liles passed away in 1975. She was later married to Delbert Hicks. Mr. Hicks passed away in 1991.
Goldie was an excellent cook. Her greatest joys in life were playing with her grandchildren and dogs. She also enjoyed family gatherings. She was a very kind and caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents and husbands, Goldie was preceded in death by two daughters: Mary Liles and Betty Liles; and one sister: Dorothy.
Goldie is survived by five sons: Roy Liles of Mansfield, Missouri, Franky Liles of Clarkton, Missouri, Johnny Liles of Hartville, Missouri, Walter Liles of Kansas, and Carl Liles of Hartville, Missouri; two daughters: Janice Estes of Hartville, Missouri and Barbara Liles of Hartville, Missouri; two brothers: Butch and Clarence; three sisters: Flora, Ruby, and Lois; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
