Harold Harrison Dake, son of the late James Harrison and Rose (Bush) Dake, was born on June 9, 1923 in Mtn. Grove, MO and went home to be with the Lord on March 9, 2011 at his home in Mtn. Grove, at 87 years of age.
Harold was united in marriage to Ruby Deaton on July 6, 1940. Seven children were born to this union. Mrs. Dake passed away on August 25, 1996.
Harold worked as a carpenter, had a milk route and operated a dairy farm near Norwood, MO for several years.
He was a longtime member and Deacon of the Union Grove (Caudle) Free Will Baptist Church near Norwood.
Harold never met a stranger. He was kind and gentle man who enjoyed visiting with his many friends and spending time with his family. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two sons: Glen Dake and an infant son, Gerald Dake; an infant grandson: Billy Dake; four brothers: Linus, Alan, Arnett and Herman Dake; and by three sisters: Leota Sanders, Tolie Telford and Mamie Davis.
He is survived by two sons: Harold Dake, Jr., and his wife, Connie, Mtn. Grove, and Bill Dake and his wife, Kathy, of Republic, Missouri; three daughters: Rita Sinning and her husband, Danny, of Norwood, Missouri, Cleta Dake of Forsyth, Missouri and Wanda Frambes and her husband, Jim of Battlefield, Missouri; a daughter-in-law: Joyce Dake of Fremont Hills, Missouri; one brother: Don Dake and his wife, Nadine, of Battle Creek, Michigan; nine grandchildren: Tim Dake, Rebekah Dowden and her husband, Kyle, Chris Dake and his wife, Dawn, all of Springfield, Missouri, Missy Triplett and her husband, Phil, of Phillipsburg, Missouri, Krista VanParys and her husband, David, of Edwards, Colorado, Lori Drake and her husband, Kevin, Brad Sinning and his wife, Dinah, all of Norwood, Missouri, Jim Hurt and his wife, Tabby, of Licking, Missouri, and Lisa Watson and her husband, Chad, of Mtn. Grove; seventeen great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Saturday, March 12th at 10:00 AM inthe Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church, Norwood.
Visitation:
Friday, March 11th, 6:00 – 8:00 PM in theFuneral Home Chapel.
