Harry William Ward

Harry William Ward, son of the late John William and Evelyn “Jean” (Boyer) Ward, was born on April 14, 1954 in St. Louis County, Missouri, and passed away on October 10, 2013 at his residence in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, surrounded by his wife and children. He was 59 years, 5 months, and 26 days of age.
Harry grew up in the St. Louis, Missouri area and was united in marriage to Kathryn Hitchcock.
He enjoyed being outdoors, especially when hunting, fishing, and camping. He truly loved his family and enjoyed the time he spent with them.
Harry was employed by the Rocky Ridge Manor in Mansfield, Missouri, as a CNA. He loved working with the elderly. He was very kind and caring to all the residents, who will greatly miss him.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, a sister: Dollie Griffin; and by an infant daughter: Shirley Ann Ward.
He is survived by his loving wife: Kathy Ward of their home; his four children: Johnny Ray Ward of Illinois, Dollie Ward of Halleyville, Alabama, Kimberly Ward and Andrew Ward, both of Mtn. Grove; several grandchildren; two brothers: John Ward and Larry Ward, both of Jasper, Alabama; two sisters: Diane Dodd and her husband, Dion, of Eldridge, Alabama, and Rosemary Ray and her husband, Paul, of Jasper, Alabama; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who will sadly miss him.
