Hilde Nadine Mc Lear

Hilde Nadine McLear, daughter of the late Kurt and Fern (Dudney) Jenssen, was born June 2, 1933, in Scranton, Kansas, and passed away March 3, 2021, at her home in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 87 years, 9 months, and 1 day of age.

Hilde graduated from high school in Harveyville, Kansas, in 1951. She married Gary McLear on October 31, 1972, in Kansas City, Missouri. One daughter was born to this union. Hilde and Gary also raised Hilde’s son and two daughters from a previous marriage.

Hilde worked as a union carpenter for General Motors for 20 years. She also enjoyed showing Arabian horse, hunting, fishing, and growing flower gardens, especially irises.

Besides her parents, Hilde was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Beth McLear, and one brother, Donald Jenssen.

She is survived by her husband of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Gary McLear, one son, Curtis Rosebaugh of Independence, Missouri, two daughters, Sheila Swaney of Tacoma, Washington, and Cheryl Butler and her husband, Steve, of Kansas City, Missouri, one sister, Marilyn Todd and her husband, Charles, of Garden City, Kansas, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends who will miss her.
