Irene Richards

Irene Richards, daughter of the late Otto and Rebecca (Coonts) Keller, was born on August 13, 1933 in Champion, Missouri and departed this life on November 27, 2008 at her home in Kansas City, Missouri. She was 75 years, 3 months and 14 days of age.
Irene grew up in the Champion area and attended the Fairview and Mtn. Grove Schools. She was united in marriage to Mack Richards on October 22, 1951. Seven children were born to this union. They made their home in the Mtn. Grove area where they raised their family.
Irene was a good cook and loved to fix meals for her family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and was an avid Wheel Of Fortune watcher. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She loved being outdoors and liked working in her gardens.
Besides her parents, Irene was preceded in death by two sons: Mack Junior Richards and Raymond Lee Richards; one daughter: Sharon Christeson; and one brother: Charlie Keller.
She is survived by her husband: Mack Richards of Springfield, Missouri; one son: Don Richards of Mansfield, Missouri; three daughters: Roberta Nevills of Riverside, Missouri, Linda Selleck of Kansas City, Missouri, and Betty Butcher of Mansfield, Missouri; two sisters: Louise Holt of Excelsior Springs, Missouri and Betty Jarrett of Mansfield, Missouri; ten grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren and growing. Irene will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Visitation:
Monday, December 1, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Lonestar Cemetery, Mtn. Grove, MO
