Jack Ray Richardson

March 28, 1942 — March 29, 2010

Jackie “Jack” Ray Richardson, son of the late Boyd Everett and Edna Geneva (Mitchell) Richardson, was born on March 28, 1942 in Wright County, Missouri and departed this life suddenly on Monday, March 29, 2010 at his residence near Mtn. Grove, Missouri, at the age of 68 years.
He grew up south of Norwood and attended the Spotted Hog School and later graduated from Norwood High School in 1960. At the age of seventeen he began working for Brown Shoe Company in Mtn. Grove where he was employed for thirty-four years. He later worked for Paramount in Mtn. Grove and then Beehler Steel Corporation where he retired after eight years.
Jack was united in marriage to Judy Kay Housley on March 28, 1962 in Mtn. Grove. Four children were born to this union. They made their home near Mtn. Grove for over forty-years.
Jack loved being outdoors, especially when gardening, planting trees and working around his house and property.
He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, neighbor and friend. He especially loved his grandchildren and supported them in their sporting and school events. He was a special grandfather who loved doting on his grandkids, they were his life.
Jack and Judy enjoyed being retired and spending time together.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Susie Delcour.
Jack is survived by his loving wife: Judy, of their home; three sons: Gary, of Mtn. Grove, Terry and Destiny, of Cabool, Missouri and Rick and Cheryl, of Richland, Missouri; his daughter: Stacy and Nathan, of Mtn. Grove; one brother: Boyd Richardson and his wife, Sharon of Blue Springs, Missouri; one sister: Betty Jones and her husband, Jim, of Odessa, Missouri; eleven grandchildren: Ethan Smith, Amanda Richardson, Wade Thompson, Steele Richardson, Kiley Sutherland, Grady Dawson, Emily Richardson, Gracelynn Richardson, Cole Richardson, Cooper Richardson, and Sawyer Kidd; and a host of other relatives, neighbors and friends who will miss him very much.


Funeral Services:
Thursday, April 1, 2:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
Visitation:
Thursday, April 1, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM before service in the chapel.
Ready For Viewing:
Wednesday, March 31st, 10:00 AM in the funeral home.

Hillcrest Cemetery
