Jackie 'Jack' Lee Lathrom

Jackie Jack Lee Lathrom, son of the late Harvey and Ada (Carder) Lathrom, was born on July 1, 1941, in Rayborn, Missouri, and departed this life on December 8, 2015, at his home in Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was 74 years, 5 months, and 7 days of age.
Jack was born and raised in the Rayborn community, and attended school in Mountain Grove. He was united in marriage to Elsie Volner and four children were born to this union. He later married Joanna Buttram-Ellis on February 14, 1981, and together they raised four more children.
Jack worked as a foreman at Ash Grove Lime Plant for many years. He also was a sheet rock hanger, and a dairy farmer during his lifetime. He loved to hunt, fish, and ride his four wheeler. He also enjoyed fox and coyote hunting, raising Beagles, and riding horses. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Besides his parents, Jack was preceded in death by two brothers: Stanley Lathrom and Larry Lathrom; and two sisters: Beverley Lathrom and Mable Moore.
He is survived by his wife: Joanna Lathrom of the home; four sons: Billy Volner and his wife, Susan, of Rogersville, Missouri, Bobby Volner and his wife, Tammy, of Springfield, Missouri, Donnie Ellis and his wife, Loretta, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Dustin Lathrom and his wife, Amber, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; four daughters: Debi Adams and her husband, Dallas, of Rogersville, Missouri, Anna Johnson of Rogersville, Missouri, Deana Metzger and her husband, Terry, of Morgan, Missouri, and Debbie Raney and her husband, Greg, of Springfield, Ohio; four brothers: Gene Lathrom and his wife, Hazel, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Dean Lathrom and his wife, Wanda, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Jerry Lathrom and his wife, Lola, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Ronnie Lathrom and his wife, Betty, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; three sisters: Evelyn Coble of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Vynita Craig of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Teresa Murr and her husband, Danny, of Hartville, Missouri; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Visitation: Thursday, December 10th, 2015, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: Friday, December 11th, 2015, at 10:00 AM at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home.

Burial: Green Mountain Cemetery
