James Floyd Mcintosh

James “Jim’ Floyd McIntosh, son of the late Hobart and Violet (Schlicher) McIntosh, was born on March 13, 1938 in Macomb, Missouri, and departed this life on March 1, 2008 at his residence in Macomb, Missouri, following a long illness. He was 69 years, 11 months, and 17 days of age.
Jim was raised in the Macomb area and graduated from Norwood High school in 1956. He was united in marriage to Loretta Stacy on October 24, 1958 in Macomb. Two children were born to this union. Jim and Loretta made their home in the Macomb area all their lives.
Jim was employed for Spaulding in Ava, Missouri for many years. He later raised registered Angus cattle and enjoyed farming.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. He was saved in his early teens and was baptized and joined the Corinth Baptist Church in Macomb in 1964. He was a deacon in the church and was very passionate and faithful working in the church and helping out wherever there was a need.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of forty-nine years: Loretta McIntosh of their home; one son: Cody McIntosh and his wife, Christy, of Macomb, Missouri; one daughter: Lora Clampitt and her husband, Ed, of Andover, Kansas; a foster-daughter: Wilma Lancaster of Mansfield, Missouri; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives, friends, and church family who will miss him very much.
Funeral services for James “Jim” McIntosh were held Tuesday, March 4, 2008, 10:00 AM in the Corinth Baptist Church, Macomb, with rev. Allen Pritchard and Rev. Kenneth McIntosh officiating. Bob Moody Sang “Far Side Banks Of Jordan,” “Where The Roses Never Fade,” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain.” Pallbearers were Roy Johnson, Ray Jackson, Bob Moody, Sherell Moody, Golden Stofer, and Kevin Drake. Honorary pallbearers were R.D. Bartley, Bill Blanton, Sam Quessenberry, Philip Durden, and Dallas Nicholson. Burial was in the McIntosh Cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.

Monday, March 3rd from 7:00 - 8:00 pm in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel
Funeral Service:
Tuesday, March 4th, 10:00 am at the Corinth Baptist Church in Macomb, MO
