James Paris Moseley

James Paris Moseley, son of the late Jesse Frank and Ollie May (Montgomery) Moseley, was born on March 22, 1922 in Graff, Missouri and departed this life on October 31, 2010 in the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, at 88 years of age.

Paris grew up in the Graff Community north of Mtn .Grove. In 1943, he went to work for Inter-County Electric Company where he began at the bottom and worked his way to District Manager. He retired in 1990 after working over forty-seven years.

Paris raised beef cattle and enjoyed working on his farm. He loved to garden and was well known in the community for his tomatoes, that he enjoyed sharing with those around him. He also liked to be outdoors, hunting and fishing.

Paris was united in marriage to Mary (Martin) Moore on March 22, 1985 in Mtn. Grove. They enjoyed spending time together and going places. He also loved the time he spent with his family and every opportunity that he had to visit with his many friends, while sharing his mathematical riddles and puzzles.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death one brother: Bonard Moseley.

He is survived by his wife: Mary Moseley of their home in Mtn. Grove; two daughters: Janis Boone and her husband, Randy, of Blue Springs, Missouri and Donna Hoots of Mtn. Grove; a sister-in-law: Blanche Moseley of Columbia, Missouri; two nephews; six grandchildren: Nicholas Smith, Amanda Cauldwell, Brittany Hoots, Quinton Allison, Sarah Chapman and Anna Jones; five great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.


Graveside Services:
Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Moseley Cemetery.
Visitation:
Wednesday, Nov. 3rd from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Procession will gather at the funeral home parking lot at 1:15 PM to follow to the cemetery.
Friends may come and sign the book on Tuesday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the funeral home.
