James 'Skip' Clifton Wilson

James Skip Clifton Wilson, son of the late Clifton Claude and Anna Elberta (Woody) Wilson, was born March 14, 1941 in Hartville, Missouri and departed this life on August 23, 2014 in his home. He was 73 years old.

Skip grew up in Hartville, Missouri where he met Mary Anne Tooley. Skip moved to Kansas and married Mary Anne Tooley in Kansas City, Missouri in 1963. They later divorced. Skip worked mostly in construction in Kansas. Skip moved to Missouri in 1976 and became employed for the City of Mountain Grove where he worked for 10 years. Skip then became disabled in a hunting accident. Skip continued to live in Mountain Grove until the time of passing.

Skip enjoyed fishing and hunting. His favorite past time was going to yard sales. He loved spending time with his family and friends. When asked by his children what he wanted for Christmas he always responded just your love. A few of his favorite sayings included: Dont take any wooden nickels, I will give you a Yankee dime if and if asked how he was feeling he always responded, with my fingers.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son: Billy Wilson and his sister: Emma Wilson Tooley.

He is survived by the mother of his children: Mary Anne Wilson of Mountain Grove; three sons: James Wilson and his wife, Rhonda, of Mountain Grove, Brian Wilson and his wife, Crystal, of Mountain Grove, Andrew Wilson and his wife, Colleen, of Mountain Grove, and one daughter: Delsie Wilson of Mountain Grove; four sisters; three brothers; sixteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.


Visitation: Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Chapel.

Funeral Services: Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Chapel.

Burial: Willow Springs Cemetery, Mountain Grove.
