Janice Lee (Emery) Lawson

July 14, 1945 — August 2, 2012

Janice Lee Lawson, daughter of the late Andrew Lane and Sadie Genevieve (Coble) Emery, was born on July 14, 1945 in Vanzant, Missouri and passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2012 in the Hartville Care Center in Hartville, Missouri, following a long illness. She was 67 years and 18 days of age.
Janice was raised in the Mtn. Grove Community and attended the Cabool School. She graduated from Cabool High school in the Class of 1963.
She was united in marriage to Larry Lawson on April 13, 1964 in Cabool, Missouri. Three children were born to this union. They made their home and raised their family in the Green Mountain area.
Janice was a homemaker all of her life. She enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking, canning, and gardening. She also enjoyed all kinds of animals, especially her dogs.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Her joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also liked visiting with her family and friends. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Larry Glen Lawson on July 20, 2006; and by a brother: Lane Leroy Emery.
She is survived by her son: Jerry Lawson of Mtn. Grove; her two daughters: Lesa Inman and Jeanie Kemper and her husband, Ron, all of Mtn. Grove; two sisters: Donna Hannabon of Turon, Kansas and Catherine Grogan of Elk Creek, Missouri; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Visitation:
Friends may call in the funeral home on Monday, August 6th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Noon).
