Jimmie Loise Carnell

December 12, 1943 — March 12, 2012

Jimmie L. Carnell, son of James V. and Beatrice M. (Sayles) Carnell, was born on December 12, 1943 in Kennett, Missouri, and passed away on March 12, 2012 at his residence in Drury, Missouri, at 68 years of age.
Jimmie grew up in the Missouri Boot heel until the age of nine. He then moved with his family to Peoria, Illinois where he attended school and graduated from Peoria Central High School.
Jim was employed by the Caterpillar Plant in Peoria, Illinois for thirty-two years and retired in June of 1993.
He was united in marriage to Susan Bundy on July 18, 1992 in Carmen, Illinois. They moved to Missouri in 1998 and had lived in the Drury, Missouri area in Douglas County for the past eleven years.
Jim was an avid outdoorsman, who truly enjoyed all kinds of hunting, fishing, camping and walking in the woods and enjoying the scenery.
Jim was a kind and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed the time he spent with his family and visiting with those around him.
He was preceded in death by his father: James V. Carnell.
He is survived by his loving wife: Susan Carnell; five sons: Jimmie E. Carnell, Mark Carnell, Jason Johns and his wife, Tiffany, Jeffrey Johns and his wife, Angel, and Greg Johns; one daughter: Stephanie Sanchez; nine grandchildren: Tyler, Jimmiray, Nathan, Emily, Riley, Ethan, Suri, Gage, and Dakota; his mother: Beatrice Carnell-Perrine of Peoria, Illinois; five sisters: Teresa McKinney and her husband, Art, Marsha Huenefeld and her husband, Ron, Jamie Carrol and her husband, Dan, Charlotte Draper and her husband, Tim, and Cindy Smith; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives, friends, and neighbors who will sadly miss him.


Graveside services: Friday,
March 23rd at 10:00 AM in

the Swan Lake Cemetery

in Peoria, Illinois.
